Mateo is still reeling from Maggie’s reaction when he walks into his apartment. He looks around at the mess that had been left behind after everyone had done their part in the investigation, and it feels as if his entire life had been dumped out on the floor of his apartment! He understands that there are things in her life that won’t make sense to him, but her sudden turnaround when they arrived at her apartment was just plain bizarre! He plays the entire conversation through his mind over and over, but all he can think of to explain it is that she was tired and in shock.
