If only he could get out of this room! They brought his things, but Max couldn’t find his cell phone anywhere. The nurse told him she would find out if the police found it at the accident scene, but nothing. He will be allowed to make a call from the nurse’s station as soon as the doctor clears him to get up, but until then he will just have to lie there and wait … Wait and wonder if he will ever be able to get her back! He asked if they could call her and leave a message for her to call him, but he had no phone to use.
All he could hope for was that Maggie would come and see him again.
