A gasp slipped out of her lips as she heard his words echo around her. She was actually surprised, more like shocked that he had planned something like this and she failed him by showing up late and in an inappropriate outfit. An embarrassed flush made its way on her cheeks but she just convinced herself that it was not her fault entirely and there can be other circumstances to blame or well, other people.
She blinked her eyes, staring at him as he was towering over her as if waiting for her to say something to him but she didn't know what to say, how to respond to that. She royally f****d it up and had no real reason to defend herself. She should have been more careful and asked several questions, annoy him as usual instead of blindly accepting and going with the flow.
