I knew Eva was afraid of me. She stilled as my finger touched her cheek. Her skin was so soft that I felt blood flowing in my veins again. Her red lips enticed me to draw her closer and seal my lips on hers to silence her mouth, but I held myself back. I didn't want to scare her. After all, she'd seen Freya, and she knew I was getting married to a woman my family had arranged for me.
