Evangelina’s POV (Still in the memories)
The next morning I feel a surge of energy and my brain feels like it is going to explode. After what seems like eternity, the pain eases and I become more aware. Almost like I am sensing everything for the first time. A click down the hall and footsteps to follow tells me that somebody is coming this way.
The footsteps stop outside my door and the lock clicks open. Franklin comes in with his sadistic smile on his face.
“A little birdy told me that you are going to try and leave today.” He says, pointing to his head.
