Amelia Once, when I was living at the Home for the Forgotten, I went out scouting the right escape route in the middle of the night. I walked into the surrounding forest and farther through the trees than I had ever gone until I came upon an open field. I hesitated at first, wondering what manner of predators were crouched in the tall grasses or lingering on the edge of the forest, waiting for prey like me to venture alone into the open space.
