The only reason Kate had been allowed to cook lunch was because she’d been in Scotland and Paul had been in Colorado at the time of Max Klugman’s murder.
Rikka had been with her, as she’d had to point out to Amy Franklin several times.
Now the Secret Service was focusing in on Sam. Let them. Not only was Kate sure he was innocent, but she knew that twelve-year Marine Force Recon soldier wasn’t going to leave anything visible that he’d mind being found.
Kate had to cook with two forensic specialists hovering over her every move. But she finished the meal without killing off the official taster.
She wasn’t even close to being done with agent Terrance Tyrell though.
