Chapter 54
Paul swung open the door from the kitchen area into the Library, and slammed into it hard enough to hurt. The door had only opened part way then stopped as if it hit a brick wall. While he leaned over to rub his knee, the door swung open the rest of the way and the overly broad-shouldered Agent Terrance Tyrell stood looking down at him.
Paul had seen the way Tyrell looked at his sister and he wasn’t amused. Kate had always taken care of her own affairs—and threatened to pound the snot out of Paul each time he interfered—but there was something different about this one. Tyrell seemed like a decent and serious guy; which Katydid seemed to think was exactly her type.
What his twin really needed was someone to lighten her up.
He spotted Kate in an armchair, actually slouching. M
