Calvin Enzo POV
GOD! I almost slipped earlier. I’m glad I managed to hide it. I was so nervous that Nel might notice. Thankfully, she didn’t press me further. My conscience can’t take it if she finds out the truth. I’d only end up hurting the woman I love the most—and I don’t want that to happen. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep this secret from her.
“Enzo…” Nel called as we drove. I glanced at her and looked back at the road.
“Hmm?” She intertwined her left hand with my right hand.
“I love you so much.” My heart melted at her words.
“I do love you very much, Nel,” I replied.
“Enzo, I want to ask you something.”
“Name it, Nel,” I said.
“No more lying and keeping secrets. I know I don’t really have the right to ask this but…”
“I’m cool with it,” I said confidently.
