The sun was already high in the sky when I met Megan at the farmers market. She was waiting for me near the entrance with her tote bag slung over her shoulder. I took a moment – since she hadn’t spotted me yet – to simply take her in. Her hair shone like gold in the sunlight and her cute summer dress hugged all of her curves in the best way possible. She turned and waved the second she spotted me, and I waved back as my heart did that ridiculous little flutter it always did when she was around.
“Hey,” she greeted me as I approached. “Are you ready to dive into the chaos?”
