His secret room.

She wasn't expecting those words from him. She knew he had addressed her by that name before but she never expected him to call her that again. Not after all the confessions, he made to her. Yes, she knew she was wrong, she knew it wasn't a good idea to be married yet flirting with the younger brother, but she just can't help herself. Kai stood up from the bed and approached his painting room. He often paints whenever he is completely down or angry at someone or something. Back then when his stepfather(Rex's dad) comes back from the club he would beat his mum and have her locked up in the house for no reason. He grew up with this hate in him and for that, he vowed to make life completely miserable for Rex. And seeing what Rex did with his woman in the garden, was driving him to the edge of craziness, and this has added to the reason he wants to make life miserable for Rex. He won't let anyone touch his woman. It looks more to him time like Rex will take everything that belongs to him, but he sure won't let that happen. Walking into his drawing room, he heaved a huge sigh and picked up his painting brush. He doesn't even know what to draw but he wants to draw a picture that will hold memories. Staring around the room, his eyes found an image he had drawn years ago. It was the image of how his stepdad molests his mum. He had kept this here for future reasons, Although he is yet to do something like that, he knows a time will come when he would have a woman go through the same pain his mum went through, that was how much he loved his mum. Pouring out colors into small containers, he began to draw, an image, an image he didn't know of. His hand was in control of everything, not his brain. At some point, it felt like he was sketching out rubbish, but he arrived at something, an image he had in his head. The image of Ashley and Rex that he saw in the garden. For some reason, his heart stiffened as he stared at the portrait in front of him. Is he in any way making the wrong decision? He wants this woman. He wants her to himself and he doesn't care what it cost. He doesn't care if he has to lose all the bonds he created with everyone just to be with this woman. All he wants is to have her to himself. He wants her to be his possession and his only obsession, the only person he wakes up to. He wants her to be the reason he smiles and if possible the reason he lives. Recalling how comfortable she was in his arm, his heart ached as though a dagger was thrust into his chest. He won't give up on her. He knows Rex is all that is stopping him from having her and for that he would take him out of his way. Rounding up the whole painting he hung it in a place different from where he kept all his paintings. He has a reason for that. Sitting on the bed, Ashley's heart beats rapidly as she kept checking to be sure Kai was fine. She had never been to that room before. Although she is curious as to what he does there and why only he has the assessment in that room. As much as her curiosity wants to drive her to the edge of rebelling against him, she also wants to give him the absolute respect that he deserves. The door to the room opened and her heart stooped beating for a while. She slowly raised her eyes. Ocean Blue eyes met with dark reddish burning eyes. Her heart beast fasts against her chest as she slowly took away her eyes. She just couldn't stand the blaze those eyes held. For a moment she thought he had forgiven her, but seeing her again aroused the memories he went to that room to ceil, and with that, he turned and left the room leaving Ashley completely broken. She was never expecting that from him, she has never seen him this angry, he was not expressive about what he was feeling, he was cold and completely devoid of emotions. Tears rolled down her cheeks, tears she never knew were at the bream of her eyes. She cleaned it with her hands and laid back quietly on the bed, but it didn't last long when her phone suddenly beeped, jolting her out of her thoughts. Her heart missed one beat, though she is yet to know who is the cause of her heartbeat. “I want you in my room now!” it was a command, and she could read it clearly from the message. Checking the sender of the message, it was her mother in law. Thinking about what happened in the garden her heart missed several beats. “No this can't happen” sweat emanated from her hands as she recall everything that happened in the garden. “Did Kai inform her about it?” she questioned herself rhetorically and fear gripped her immediately.
