'Happy Birthday, Mochi.' We yell in unison as soon as we spot our little guy on the seashore. The pleasant waves crash in the background, humming a melody. Mochi blushes and bows the traditional way. He is the most formal and the 'well mannered' guy amongst all of us, but he can be a jerk if you just push the right buttons.
'Thank you all of you! This is just too much. I am speechless and honored!'
He smiles at us, looking around. His eyes stop on the big dark sky twinkling with stars like studded diamonds. Being himself, he completely ignores the background thumping loudly alongside the hootings and excited chatters of our fellow classmates and friends.
