Ignored by mankind, a meteorite plunged into the wide Pacific. It was miniscule, the size of a fist and thus negligible.
Supposedly, it shouldn’t have been something that’ll affect anyone. However, whether it was the will of God or of the random Fate, it has other plans.

The Dawn of the Great Calamity.
A virus later named as Evolus contained within the meteorite suddenly attacked the world.
It infects the brain and causes inflammations to the brain tissues. The infected will have symptoms similar to rabies before their brains and organs collapsed, succumbing them to their death.
The Evolus Virus had an overwhelming infectious capacity, and within around two months, it caused a pandemic all throughout the world.
