"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!" Lucy says again, in complete disbelief.
"Yes!" I take a deep breath and answer for what feels like the millionth time. This yes and no thing is getting old pretty quickly.
"You're joking!" Lucille looks at me for any sign that I have been pulling a bad prank on her. Unfortunately, I haven't. It's only fate that's taking the piss on me.
"I can assure you that I am not." My voice sounds resigned, and I guess that's what I am by now.
"Wow, this is not what I expected to hear about Brigitte. I always knew she was off her head, but never in a million years would have imagined that she would sleep with your stalker of an ex husband, AND get pregnant by him in the process." Lucy conveniently summarizes everything.
