Inside the meeting room, everyone had gathered. They were excited and afraid at the same time to see Edward for the first time. Everyone knew that he was a cold hearted, angry, and emotionless man. All the men were nervous, but the women were impatient to finally lay eyes on him. The room was filled with the rumble of conversation that was centered around the new President. Then Edward entered the meeting room causing everyone to fall silent. Every single one of them bowed their heads and said good afternoon. He walked into the room without looking at anyone, he sat in his chair like a king. Everybody was looking at his face as they had never seen him before. The girl's panties were getting wet as they took in the prefect of his face, they were checking out his sexy body and biting their lips. THe men were watching the women. Well, many of the men were also checking him out like he was a deliecious piece of cake. Edward looked up at all of his employees, his gaze roamed everywhere as if he were searching for someone special. His expression grew even colder but there was still no emotion in his eyes. He was staring at his ring while he played with it. There was pin drop silence in that meeting room, it had been five minutes, but he had not said a word. By now everyone’s excitement and lust for him had converted into fear, they were wondering why he had not said anything. They were all standing silently with their heads bowed. “Where is that dog!!” Edward growled in a low dangerous tone when the employees heard him they were all startled. They did not know whom he had been referring to. There were no dogs in this company, so who he was calling a dog. “Sir, he is still outside, I think he might be crying,” Sam offered in response to Edward’s outburst as everybody looked at him. “Drag him in here!!” Edward ordered Sam and his bodyguards to go and bring the Manager inside. Listening to him, all the employees got anxious. They were all sweating like pigs. The bodyguards returned to the meeting hall with him making him kneel in front of the President at the front of the room. Employees' eyes widened due to fear, that meant that the dog was their Manager and they had just dragged him in here as if there were little more than some kind of garbage. When the President could treat him like that then what would he do to them, they wondered. Edward’s gaze bored into the Manager. “I informed you before my arrival that I wanted to select a secretary so everyone that is employed here should attend this meeting. Correct?” Edward snarled at the Manager. He had lowered his head, refusing to make eye contact with his boss. He nodded his head yes. He had tightly shut his eyes in fear, he still had not dared to look at Edward. Edward had still been playing with his ring but he stopped to glare at the Manager. His hand reached out for the Manager’s tie pulling him closer to him making him look at his dangerous face. “Then why can't I see everyone who works here at this meeting!!” Edward roared at him, as he gritted his teeth in anger. Edward pushed him away causing him to fall to the floor. Now the Manager was searching through the employee to see who was not there. He was looking as he wiped away his tears but due to the anxiety of having Edward in front of him he was not able to pick out who was missing. Everyone was staring at him and were so terrified that they were also assisting in trying to figure out who was missing. But the bigger question was, how had he known that someone was missing from the meeting. He had never visited the company and used to live in another country. So how had he known that someone was missing? Lucy was there, she had heard what the President had said that not everyone was there, her heartbeat was racing like a horse. Drake had told her that he would be back in half an hour, it had already been 40 minutes. She kept glancing at the door as she waited for Drake. “Sir, I am sorry, I don’t know who is not here but I will go and find them,” the Manager admitted to Edward, who listened to him quietly but had not said anything. The Manager looked up at him to learn why he had not said anything to him. He found Edward’s expressionless face; which elicited his fear so that he moved his eyes to the floor again. He knew that the President was not happy with the answer that he had provided. The manager studied his employees then went over to them to ask who was missing. He was asking hurriedly so that he could get the information back to Edward as quickly as possible. He wanted to know before the President’s bodyguards came over to drag him back to his place at the feet of his boss. Drake had taken a taxi and was messing around in his phone. He had been calling Emma but she had not picked up her phone. He had told the taxi driver to drive as fast as he could. He glanced at his watch. He had promised Lucy that he would be back in half an hour but he was still in this taxi twenty minutes after he had left and he had yet to reach Emma. He was afraid that someone would notice his absence at the meeting, because of his face. His face was the main reason for all the mess in his life. One of the employees had noticed that Drake was absent from the meeting. “Sir, that pretty boy is not here,” he said to the Manager, as he studied the ocupantants of the room carefully. He realized that Drake was not in the meeting. But when Edward heard the words, pretty boy. He glared at that man with absolute loathing like he had something awful as he got up from his seat and stalked over to him. Everyone moved out of his way, not looking at him. Edward stood in front of the man who had referred to Drake as a pretty boy. Out of nowhere Edward punched him in the face which led to him collapsing to the floor like a sack of potatoes. The women yelped in fear while the men were staring at him with trepidation in their eyes. The man on the floor groaned in pain, his nose and mouth were bleeding. “Sam!!” Edward called until he came over to him. “Fire this bastard from my company!” Edward ordered, Sam nodded as his bodyguards dragged the man out of the room. Everyone was petrified, they had sealed their eyes tightly shut praying for this meeting to be over as quickly as possible.
