"I found the house," I spoke over the earpiece before a sharp pain pierced through my back, and the rusty smell of blood filled the air. It was followed by another wave of pain before I was coughing up blood.
I tried to stop it but it instantly got worse as another wave of pain pierced through me. I fell to the ground this time.
"Javier, are you alright?" Dr. Van Helsing asked me through the earpiece as he heard me cough violently. I opened my mouth to speak but only blood came out of it. I pressed my lips in a thin line to stop the blood from coming out and took a deep breath and gulped to further push it down.
