Go out there inside the pack, be amongst other wolves? Wolves who she and Harper would recognise and none of them would her. She toyed with that pendant around her neck. She’d taken it off her mother at 10, because they were both supposed to have one, matching necklaces from when she was 16.
According to Bradley, if she ever took it off she would smell like she was in heat and all the un-mated wolves would come for her. She guessed her mother knew this, but had not wanted to tell her yet, being so young, likely didn’t want to frighten her with this news and, of course, it would scare a 10-year-old girl.
