Samantha's POV
Thankfully, just a few days into my new life in Nightshade, Luna Natasha left. The energy shifted after that, and I felt relieved to have a little time without her suspicious gaze constantly boring into me.
The day she left, the doctor arrived to perform a follow-up exam.
"Strange," the doctor said as he checked my body over. "Your body appeared perfect on the outside but very weak inside when the young Alpha first found you, which was strange. Now, your body appears to have recovered completely. Also very strange…"
I couldn't help but grin upon hearing the news. So my body truly had healed entirely despite my history of abuse and injury. I suspected my wolf had something to do with it, but when I reached out again to thank her, there was still no response.
