Madison POV
Having gone through the offices and bedrooms of both Gladys and Jacob, I was beginning to think that was all that I could collect.
I roamed the floor, pushing each door open, looking inside, and then moving on to the next room.
So far they were all empty.
It did not make sense.
Then I found a room that looked like a child’s room. It had a cot, teddy bears, and all sorts of toys for a young pup. I entered and looked around, it was all new, no sign of a pup had been in there. How weird was he thinking of having a child? Were they planning on it?
My stomach dropped as I thought of how Jacob had been brushing my hair and trying to spend time with me. Was he looking at me having his pup?
That thought made me feel ill. How could he think that would work?
I had a mate. W
