Walking to the office, both Zane and I were silent, both lost in our own thoughts. I was thinking about the suggestion that Ezekiel had made. Would he combine the Deep Earth people meeting with meeting other alphas and handing the title of king over to Zane all at the same time?
Could the event be pulled off?
Would the Deep Earth people who have been hidden for so long, like to come out and be exposed like that? That would be a huge step for them. Was that what Peggy was hinting at? Were they ready?
So many thoughts rambled through my head, and though the thought of the Deep Earth people saying no because of the sudden exposure they had, I was concerned for Zane and whether he was ready for that step.
The whole idea was scary.
