Madison POV
The children will be here shortly. We had a number of old women waiting nervously. You could tell by the wringing of their hands and pacing back and forth, as they watched the door for them to arrive, their faces were beaming with joy and excitement at the same time as they waited in the dining hall. Each woman had said if the child was agreeable then they would take them. We had organized some clothes, not knowing what size the children were yet, and how many were of each of the girls and boys, and they ranged from toddlers to ten. I don’t think I saw any older and I doubt a mother would be mad enough to leave her baby whilst still on breast milk.
