"Okay, Mom and Dad, I’ll call you when I get settled in. I know you both wanted to come with me, but I’m a big girl—I can do it all on my own," I said into the payphone on campus.
"Our darling girl, please be careful and don’t hesitate to call us, okay? Oh! Almost forgot—your uncle will be heading that way in a few days with Aunt Willow," they both said, speaking in perfect unison.
I giggled. They were so alike, and it warmed my heart to know they still loved each other and stayed faithful after all these years.
"Okay, just tell him to stop by in a few days once he’s settled in," I replied.
