Eight Months Later
I had been working as a foreman at a small construction company for the past several months. Samantha’s veterinarian clinic had taken off once she re-opened. I have never seen her happier than she had been lately. She was mostly working from home right now while Emily was running things. For the past four months now, I have had to go out of town for sometimes weeks at a time for bigger jobs that we had. It was hard leaving her at home when I had to go out of town like this, especially with her ready to pop any minute. Her clinic was doing well but not enough to pay all the bills
