Nadia went to sit and eat. She thought about what she would be doing now that she's in the city.
"What am I going to do now? I will have to go and search for a new job. Besides, I cannot be eating this man's food and living here for free. The sooner I get a job and leave this place, the better for me," Nadia focused on the delicious rice and ate it. Although it tasted foreign in her mouth and not like the local rice she was used to in the village.
"Wow! This rice is delicious," she said as she finished up the whole meal. Once she was done, she stepped out of the room to return the tray and plate to the kitchen, not comfortable waiting for Anita to come and pick the tray.
Meanwhile, Rita gave her brother a call, and he picked up.
