#Chapter 66- Leah Ashford

1260 Words

Aurora’s POV My nerves are frayed. After dropping my mother off, I had a short, curt conversation with Leah Ashford over the phone where she told me that she would meet me for coffee. Her exact words had been, “My time is precious, and you’re lucky I happen to be near that area for business. We can meet for coffee in an hour.” I’m surprised she agreed to meet at all, and now, as I sit here and stare at the front door of the Mooncake Coffee Shop, I can’t stop my leg from bouncing. I was early because I didn’t wait at my mother’s house after the call. For one, I didn’t want to run into my stepfather, and two, I but I was too nervous and excited. This woman could very well be a link to my real family, and that thought has my stomach jumbling to the point where I feel a little sick.
