Aurora POV A white jar appears in front of my face, making me jump. My knee smacks against the underside of my desk, and pain sprouts there. “Sorry,” a deep voice says. When I look up, I find Thorne’s Beta standing there. He has the white bottle in his hand and a sheepish smile on his face. He nods to my knee, “Didn’t mean to make you hurt yourself, but I was told to buy this ointment for your neck, and I guess now for your knee too.” He puts the jar on my desk, and I look at it. “You were told?” I ask, glancing at Thorne’s office door. The Beta nods and smirks. “Yes, I was sent to all the way to the Human Quarter to retrieve it,” he tells me. Surprised, I unscrew the lid to find a white ointment in the jar. The Human Quarter is on the smallest town on the outskirts of the pack.
