My eyes locked onto the now empty space where Amira had just been. What the f**k just happened? Was she...afraid of me?
"Amira." I called out, trying to connect to this bond that had been flowing since the moment those binds appeared. But there was nothing. I couldn't feel her or hear her voice like she had completely blocked me out.
"What the hell happened?" Alden asked before lifting his hand and wiping at the blood that slipped down his neck.
"Leona said something to her." I hissed, staring down at the charred remains of the originals we once believed were gods.
They were nothing compared to her. What Amira just did..it was beyond anything I had ever seen. How all of those guards burst into flames.
