I glanced over at Kamaris, feeling my stomach drop as he stared at the letter Alden now held in his hand.
"Burn it for all I care." Kamaris finally spoke, making me blink rapidly as I glanced over and saw Alden hesitate for a moment.
"Kamaris.." I whispered, making his fiery blue gaze snap towards me.
"You, my love, need to eat. We will not be concerning ourselves with Evren matters this morning. Besides..I'm sure they will be sending many many more just like it.." He grumbled, making me sigh before nodding my head as Kamaris abruptly pulled me into his lap.
"Leave us." Kamaris said cooly, making Alden and the guard do just that as the dining hall doors were shut, leaving just the two of us inside.
