Stepping out into the hall, my feet immediately froze in place as I saw a familiar face standing across from me.
"My lord." Alden stated, his green eyes gliding up and down my tall frame as some type of emotion seemed to fill him.
Before I could even react, Alden stepped forward quickly and threw his arms around my back, hugging me.
I swear I just stood there in shock.
I have never once seen Alden show affection like this. Well, other than to Nati and Amira. But this, it was almost startling.
"I am so happy you are okay, my friend." He rushed, the tone of his voice making me soften as I nodded my head and patted him on the back.
"And you. I take it things with Drakis have been well? He seems to have healed enough to wake up."
Alden pulled back before nodding his head
