Chapter 72-Telling Secrets

I glanced towards Namoka, confusion filling me as she looked down at the drawing, realizing it must have meant something to me.

"Kari is gifted, she isn't exactly a sibyl but can see things." She spoke softly, looking down at the paper again while taking a sip of wine.

I glanced across the table, Kamaris was studying the paper now. His eyes darted to mine as he seemed like he wanted to say something but stopped himself before he did.

Before I thought that light meant my magic was from the light region, but after meeting with Mabel I wonder what it all means. Could the rainbow color be because of my soul?

Kaden caught my attention, his eyes practically burning into me as he studied my every move. I smiled at him sheepishly, trying to fight that embarrassment from touching him earlier.

His cheeks turned a bright shade of red as he looked away, his dad laughing and patting him on the back. Seeming to notice his son's awkwadness.

I glanced around the table, Alden was talking to Nati who was practically eating up every woawkwardness.

Namoka was teasing Kamaris still as he scowled at her and seemed to get annoyed even more with each word she spoke.

Kaden was telling his dad about his training earlier and Kavi was looking at me with a smile on her face.

"I have a nice family don't I?" She asked me softly.

I leaned down towards her, a bright smile pulling at my face as I spoke.

"Very nice. You are a lucky little girl." I whispered happily as she took my hand and held it with her own small ones.

Surprise filled me as she spoke gently.

"It must be hard losing a mother at my age. You were very strong." She said in such a mature way that I couldn't believe this was a child sitting beside me.

I nodded my head, trying not to let my emotions rise as she continued. I haven't thought about my mother in a while.

"And your father..he wasn't a nice man." She said with distaste as if she knew exactly what abuse I had gone through.

I shook my head, squeezing her hand as I spoke.

"He wasn't bad, he was just broken." I said softly, the words I spoke filling me as I thought back to it all.

Kavi glanced over to Kamaris, her head nodding before she looked back at me.

"He was broken too, but I don't see it anymore. The cracks, they have all seemed to heal." She said as Kamaris glanced over at us.

I leaned towards Kavi, her hand gripping mine tighter as I smiled.

"Can we be friends?" I asked her softly, her head nodded up and down excitedly.

She leaned in, her hand cupping her mouth before I lowered my bead, realizing she must've wanted to tell me a secret.

"I think my brother likes you." She whispered way louder than I expected as Kaden gasped from across the table.

"Kavi!" He yelled out and stood quickly as if he were about to get up and chase his sister off.

His dad grabbed his shirt and pulled him back down.

"Sit down, It's not like you weren't making it obvious or anything." Marcus said sarcastically and laughed.

Kamaris turned to Kaden and he just stood there froze, his face even redder than before..I think his ears were too. It was hard not to laugh as Kavi giggled beside me.

"Save it for the ring tomorrow Kamaris." Alden added playfully as he looked between Kaden and Kamaris excitedly.

Nati laughed, looking at Namoka as she spoke.

"Remember that one year the fire lord came. We had to evacuate the village because of the fires." She said laughing as Namoka rolled her eyes. I couldn't help but laugh, looking at kamaris as I spoke.

"Cinead did that?" I asked, shocked.

He nodded, the first smile of the evening pulling on his lips now.

"He is banned from coming here, and ever since then there is no magic allowed in the rings." He said with a smirk.

We all started laughing as we continued to eat.

Alden and Nati seemed to be getting along well and I wondered if they were ever more than friends.

On her end, I could see the crush but with him, he was so hard to read. Kaden didn't look toward me for the rest of the meal.. I think because Kamaris kept glaring at him.

Namoka told me about how the women in their village have as much right as the men to compete in the tournament and she would be in the ring tomorrow as well.

She kept teasing Kamaris about challenging him.

The mere idea made me worried.

So they all just go in the ring and fight one another? She must have seen my confusion because she explained to me that it was an annual tradition in their village. They would train all year round and have a tournament where the strongest warriors fight one other.

The lord of darkness would spectate but occasionally some would challenge him and want to face him in the ring, apparently Namoka did each year.

I nodded my head, my eyes finally getting heavy as I looked towards Kamaris.

He had been watching me all night, his gaze not leaving mine for more than a few seconds.

Suddenly he stood, walking around the table as everyone continued to talk.

Kavi had fallen asleep, her head resting against my arm as Alden suddenly pulled her over, making her head switch to his arm instead.

"Goodnight, see you in the morning." He whispered to me, a kind smile on his face as he turned back towards Nati.

Kamaris was right behind me now, his hands reaching for mine as he leaned down.

"Let's go to bed, My Love." His warm breath fanned against my ear while his hands pulled me up as I nodded.

"Goodnight you two." Marcus boomed with a wide grin.

I smiled and said goodnight to everyone as Kamaris led me down the hallway.

My feet felt heavy as his hand gripped me even tighter.

Once he opened the door, he pulled me inside quickly.

Then I felt his magic wash over me and I was now naked once more as he swiftly pushed me onto the bed.

"f**k I missed you." He gasped as his mouth raced for mine.

I could have laughed at what he said, how he missed me even though I was right across the table from him.

But I felt it too..I missed Kamaris, I missed his touch and his taste.

His mouth opened against me as he slid his tongue out, tasting me hungrily as I groaned.

I wanted him..but not inside of me..I wanted him in my mouth. To taste him and feel him come undone beneath my touch.

That's what I wanted.

I pulled away, looking at his naked body hungrily as he stared at me intently. I took his arm and pulled him over.

Showing him I wanted to take charge for once.

"I want to taste you." I whispered, his eyes widening with excitement from my words.

I pushed him back onto the bed, taking this newfound confidence and rolling with it as I couldn't help but smirk at him.

"Gods help me.." He muttered, making me fight a laugh that tried to bubble up.

I crawled above Kamaris. My mouth crashed down, kissing him sloppily I slid my tongue out slowly, licking his lips as I groaned.

His hands reached out, gripping my hair as I dragged my tongue down his jaw, tasting his sweet smooth skin.

Kamaris growled, my wild movements driving him crazy as I saw his length twitching below.

I smiled against his neck and I bit him softly.

"f**k Amira." He gasped out, his fingers digging into my hair deeper.

I moaned, sliding my tongue down further and causing him to let go of me as he watched intently.

His breathing was heavy and labored as he tried not to reach out for me.

My hands dragged down his stomach, trailing after my tongue. Then I was at his hips, my eyes peered up at him as I quickly sat between his thighs.

I licked my lips hungrily, showing him how badly I wanted him before gripping his shaft as he gasped. His head was already thrown back as his hands gripped the sheets, those claws slipping out and sinking into the mattress.

I smiled as I opened my mouth wider, licking him from his base to his tip.

Kamaris groaned loudly, twitching against my tongue as I slowly circled it around him.

"For f***s sake." He cried out, my mouth taking him in all the way as I bobbed up and down.

Then I heard that sound I loved so freaking much..those low moans and gasps when he is about to c*m.

I quickly sucked everything he gave me, swallowing it greedily as my eyes were glued to Kamaris's face as it morphed with pleasure..

I looked up at him as he groaned, his orgasm still pulsing through him as I crawled up.

My head rested on his chest as he panted beneath me.

"The way it feels when you touch me..it drives me f*****g insane." He said breathlessly.

I smiled, my lips kissing his chest as I sighed happily.

"Good, I like making you insane." I said playfully as he just smiled down at me before trailing his fingertips up and down my naked back.

"It's like each time becomes more intense than the last..I swear one day I will just get lost in you." He whispered, his eyes swirling as he stared into me.

"That wouldn't be such a bad thing, would it?" I asked, not being fully serious. But the look on his face made me think he thought otherwise.

"Not bad at all, in fact, I'd prefer it..you and me locked in a room for eternity, just living off of one another." He stated deeply, causing my breathing to hitch. "We could forget everything..hide away forever."

"Is that what you want? To hide away forever?" I asked him curiously.

"I want to hide you away forever." He confessed, making me move up his chest as I peered down at him, my hair falling down my shoulders and creating a curtain around us.

"There's no need to hide me Kamaris. Nothing will happen okay? I will never leave your side." I whispered, causing his eyes to dart away.

I reached up, my hands cupping his face as I turned his head to face me.

"Hey..I promise..I am yours, we belong together..we always have." I reminded Kamaris as he nodded once before lifting up and smashing his lips to mine..kissing me with so much emotion that I knew something was worrying him..but I wouldn't push him to tell me..if he was worried something would happen to me, well..I will just have to convince him otherwise.
