After a long night and an equally long day, we were ready to head back home. Bailey and Ian had mostly rested in their room since she had her lesson in her magic and abilities. She didn’t really talk much, but she hadn’t exactly been chatty without a reason before. Mostly, she was chatty because she was confused. I wanted to make sure we got home before dark. Missing one night with my kids was enough. I didn’t want to miss more.
It was nice to find family, but the family I made was more important than a family I never knew I had. Hel and Garmr promised to visit when they could, and I really looked forward to introducing them to Ollie and the kids. I was sure they would love him and he was always happy to find more family for me.
