I knew that the mafia didn’t care about infidelity—if it did, nearly every single mafia family would be destroyed or not exist to begin with.
However, illegitimate children were a completely different matter. No one liked an illegitimate child because they could cause countless problems for business and inheritance.
The crowd whispered amongst themselves, criticizing and judging River for letting things go too far with such a woman.
River’s face turned ashen and he opened his mouth to say something, but not a sound came out.
I sent River an innocent but accusing look.
