Jessica Maybe all the things that I’ve been thinking of lately were nothing but my guesses and exaggerated thoughts because the ones I met after I woke up were my family—or should I say, acquaintances? I don’t need a mother who hates me, a sister who avoids me, and a father who don’t talk to me at all. “You want more?” When I heard his voice, I looked up from my book and smiled as I saw him looking at me with his eyes reflecting the faint sunset from the window, hitting his face like they’re meant to show me how breathtaking this man is even when he’s injured. Chuckling at how soft he is when he talks to me, I leaned closer to let him feed me the piece of strawberry he placed in his fork. After tasting the sweet fruit, I watched him focus on dipping the strawberry slices on the chocolat
