Probably because Alex is generally a healthy person, he’s as good as new the moment he woke up today. His lips were now pink, his face doesn’t look that red anymore despite the few traces of heat build-up on him, and his eyes were back on being the usually bright pair of grayish orbs.
“Are you sure you will go back to work?” I asked as I comb my hair while looking at him through my mirror. There, I found him sitting on a chair while browsing on his phone, dressed in his black suit with while polo underneath and red tie.
“Carlson said that old man returned yesterday because someone from the company snitched about my absence.” He said, briefly lifting up his gaze to look at me before focusing back on his phone. “He also told me that he’s already at the company again today.”
