The house felt like I’ve been living in it for years when in fact, it’s just been four days since I’ve moved in, together with my husband who never failed to make me comfortable. He neither makes me feel like I’m a stranger, nor makes me feel uncomfortable by bringing up the past. Instead, he took his time and waited for me to ask questions so that he will answer right after.
Our peaceful lives continued as if we weren’t required to worry about what comes next. The time I’ve been spending with him never made me feel the pressure to recover my memories, or the pressure to go out of my comfort zone to pretend that I’m not empty on the inside. Alexander…is just that husband who always make sure I won’t dwell on such pessimistic thoughts.
