"No! I wish I was! I don't know what's going on with Alpha River, but he has changed. I don't trust him. We need to make sure that our secret escape route out of this pack is ready to be activated day or night." I revealed to my mate in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Are you sure, Tamar? River has never not, had my back. He is like a brother to me." declared Landon, not wanting to accept my words.
"I am positive! I know the two of you have been best friends since the two of you were babies, but something is off with him. I need you to consider our family and what's best for us. If I have to leave this pack, will you go with me?" I probed, needing to know where I stood with my mate.
