Even though Gigi forced herself to move, her body wouldn’t cooperate. She felt weak and numb. Her arms felt like they were tied down, and her legs were pinned under something heavy. Her head was spinning, and her vision blurred from the thick smoke. Panic surged through her as she struggled to move. She had to get out—if she didn’t, she’d burn alive.
