I woke up with my head pounding like someone hit me with a brick. Sunlight was cutting straight through my curtains, right into my eyes. For a full minute, I just stared at the ceiling, trying to figure out what I was even looking at. It wasn’t until I recognized the crooked c***k near the corner that it hit me. This was my room.
