“The carriage can’t enter the gates, milady. The guests are usually dropped outside before they can finally enter the palace grounds,” Matias informed.
“Oh. Alright. I understand,” I said with a smile.
Gillie was the first one to get out of the carriage. And when she was out, she helped me from getting down. And my eyes automatically landed on the massive gate before us. I saw Matias dismounting from his horse and then he quickly went in my direction.
“Shall we head inside, milady?” he asked. I looked around and saw Uncle Faro and Aunt Emilia coming out of their ride. My cousins were behind them. I looked back at Matias and then nodded my head in response.
