I stared down at my mate nervously. Every move the pack doctor made had me biting my freaking knuckle, trying to hold back the growl that threatened to explode out of me at any moment.
"Do you think she will wake up soon?" I blurted, unable to just sit back and watch.
"With the amount of tranquilizer you injected her with, it could be hours, Alpha." Doctor Ruby explained before turning towards me. I could see concern etched in her tan face, and the way her brown eyes seemed to soften didn't quite sit well with me.
Was there something she was keeping from me?
