Adam stormed into our house the next morning, his expression sharp and brimming with frustration. His eyes flicked between me and Kai, searching for some kind of explanation as he paced in front of us. “Are you two going to explain what’s going on?” he demanded, clearly reeling from the secrets he sensed were swirling around us.
