Sansha was different in her family. Her father has no idea that the baby his one night stand had left before his door was not normal. Without any knowledge of what was wrong with her, Sansha transfers into the high school in the small new town that is surrounded by myths and stories and equally mysterious and haunting people.

In the new world, Sansha is only welcomed by Ginny, who empathizes her and tries to make her new life easier. Little did Sansha know that her world would crumble when the infamous strange guy Zack, who she is irresistibly attracted to, is connected to the myths. He was perhaps even the person behind the disappearances in the small town.

As if one of the heavenly being wasn't enough, there's another one just as sinfully handsome to look at Zack. Jeremiah was just as weird as Zack, or perhaps even more.

And Sansha knew, no matter what she did, she had to stay away from them if she did not want to end up in the morgue or missing like some of the other town inhabitants. Because no one messed with those two boys or their families. But they didn't seem to share her thoughts.

Zack and Jeremiah had their own secrets and reasons for whatever they did and Sansha seemed to have become one of it.

Chapter 1
The papers scattered and fluttered in the wind as they fell. The footsteps that echoed after her were only getting louder and louder. Sansha's heart pounded against her chest. What had I seen? What am I doing? Those were the only thoughts that she was having at the moment. She looked over her shoulder for one more time to not find anyone there. Where did he go? He was right there... She didn't know if she was relieved to not find him chasing after her or be dreaded because now she had no idea where he was! At least before she could have seen him, now he could almost be anywhere in the damned forest! Am I going to die? Another thought crossed her mind. She had been running for quite some time now and there were no footsteps echoing after her as they had been before. The safest bet was to get back home, but she had no idea where in the huge forest she had ended up! With her heart still throbbing mercilessly inside her chest, she slowly reduced her pace to walking as she looked around for anything that could help her recognize where she had arrived. The forest she so loved felt so scary at the moment. The same forest that made her feel like she was breathing for the very first time in her life was now making it hard to breathe. And all of this happened due to that damned guy! Or those two damned guys should she say? The out of this world beautiful, tall, strong strangers that she wanted to do nothing with! Had it not been for him she would have been home by now, snuggling into her warm blanket and watching the latest episode of that new series she had started. The night was setting in quickly and her dad was going to freak out upon not finding her home once he arrived. This was so not what she was hoping for. So not at all what she was wishing! The cawing of crows from somewhere in the nearby trees went dead silent all of a sudden. There was hardly any noise in the area apart from her pounding heart. Or had her heart jumped into her ears and pounding there while muting all the other sounds? Sansha had her doubts that she might have gone deaf all of a sudden, but all her misunderstandings were cleared when a silhouette moved in the darker part of the forest. Her heart threatened to stop, while her lungs stopped functioning without even a warning. The boy walked out of the shadows making her take a step back in fear that had now found a new height inside her. How could anyone even call that beast a boy!?! She questioned her brain at the sight of a bundle of ripped muscles that was impossible for any boy of her age to have, especially with that angelic face. All she wanted to do was turn around and make a run for her life. "If you dare move another step from here, I swear the next thing you will have to deal with is really mad wolf," he growled in warning. How did this happen? How did I end up here? Sansha could only think of that. ......Few days ago...... Sansha's head hurt again early in the morning. She had been pretty more short-tempered than her usual self for a few days now. Everything got on her nerves and that worried her father. Her stepmother, Brie, had been caring enough for the couple and couldn't bear any children. So, Sansha was lucky to be the only child. "I'm worried, is it some kind of stress she's having at school?" Her father, Joe, asked in the dining room, grabbing Brie's attention, "I'm not sure. Perhaps it's the late puberty that's hitting her?" Even though Sansha was holed up in her room, she could clearly hear her parents talk on the floor below. "The doctors don't think anything is amiss. Could it be from her mother?" Joe sounded genuinely worried about his daughter. Everyone knew that Sansha was a child dropped at Joe's doorstep one morning with a letter asking him to take responsibility for his actions of one wild night. He neither knew the mother, nor could he figure out which night would have resulted in this outcome. No matter what anyone said, Joe had been a loving father, and he married Brie, who adored Sansha. And they were both ready to go to any extent to keep their child happy and safe. "There was another complaint from the principal. Sansha apparently pushed some guy down the stairs," Brie whispered, yet that boiled Sansha's blood. Throwing the door open, Sansha was in the dining room in no time as she growled like an animal, "I didn't push anyone down the stairs. He tried to push me down while saying I was a freak! I just pulled my hand from him, he lost his balance and fell! I didn't push anyone down the stairs!" Her yelling had left her panting while receiving pitiful gazes from her parents. Sansha was different from other children. She was a loner in crowds of her aged kids throughout her life. They thought she was an introvert, but as she grew older, they started to see more strange things. She was stronger than her father even while having a petit body. She had very good hearing even from across rooms. And not to forget her eyesight that saw well in the dark and sometimes even, glow scaring the hell out of them. And she was faster. Even her parents were scared of her sometimes, but they loved her nonetheless. Sometimes she even behaved animalistic, like she did at the moment. That was what had them to get her checked with every doctor in the country that could cure her of whatever abnormality she had. But none could even put a finger on it. Some even suggested sending her to a research facility to perform experiments on her. That was the reason they stopped pushing to get a cure for her abnormalities. Only one doctor suggested moving closer to nature where she can be free in the woods. That seriously had Joe thinking for quite some time now. Right from the day he heard it from the doctor, he thought of abandoning everything and going camping like the gypsies with his family. Another option he had was what his company had offered. His company needed him to travel west and supervise the new project that would take at least five years to complete. And the region was a forest area. Perhaps it would be a good idea to transfer there to check his daughter's mental health. Hopefully, he would find answers to the strange inhuman behavior that she had. "It doesn't matter, that boy was the trustee's nephew. So, they have ended up suspending you," Brie sighed in resignation, hoping she could change Sansha's school from that toxic environment. As if it was the ideal moment, Joe announced, "we'll be moving. I've been transferred to the west for a project. So, all of us will be shifting for a new beginning." So suddenly? The question marks on Brie's and Sansha's faces clearly conveyed their unasked questions. It wasn't like Joe to drop a bomb like that very often without discussing with them or even hinting about it beforehand. This made them ask if everything was alright? The complex looks on his family's faces made him sigh as he explained further, "I had received this offer some time ago but hadn't decided about it. But after all this, I think it's time we shifted and started new." "But what about our friends and family here?" It was Brie who asked because Sansha didn't have any friends. All of them out there were ready to get her for something she hadn't committed. Perhaps it was her inhuman beauty or her hypnotic voice that the other people around had wanted to possess her at one point in time, but when they couldn't, they wanted to hurt her due to their jealousy. "You are saying like there hasn't been anyone moving out of this city at all..." Joe grumbled after huffing. No one cared about his daughter. They all wore a facade, but he knew what they thought about her. He had heard them backstabbing Sansha during a party. So, he couldn't care less what they had to do with them moving. Brie pondered for a while more. She had a lot to lose. All her friends and her parents resided in the city. Unlike Joe's side of the family, her parents actually adored Sansha and cared about her like their own granddaughter. It would be unfair to snatch the missing grandparents' love from her. Even her job would be at stake. Working hard for all her life, she had finally landed the position of senior manager in her firm. And moving would make her lose it. As if reading her difficulties, Joe offered, "why don't you stay here and work till you get an option to move to the West? I'll also try to find a good job for you there. Else, once the project is over, I and Sansha can always come back?" Brie thought for a while, Joe did have a point. If the project is over, and they have to shift back, wouldn't it be a waste to leave her job? And they could always meet on the weekend and holidays. Either she could travel west to spend time with them or Joe and Sansha could come home and meet Brie and her parents. It would be more reasonable to do that. Why shift the entire house for a project that was bound to finish in a few years only to come back to the same place while making so many sacrifices? That was what was going on in the heads of each and every one of them. Only had they known that nothing was going to be what they thought it would be. Perhaps, had they known, they would have dropped the idea of shifting west altogether. Or even perhaps Joe would have forsaken the project itself! Only had he known he was going to lose his daughter to the wild animals of the woods, for good...
