Chapter 21 Anna The party was in full swing by the time we arrived. The air was thick with the scent of expensive cologne, alcohol and something faintly metallic- blood maybe. I wasn't sure. I was too much in awe of the opulence and elegance of the place to pay attention to anything else. I hadn't expected this. This wasn't the kind of gathering I associated with the mafia.
