Cavir Golden sunshine. That’s what Genevieve reminds me of. I don’t get to bask in it as a vampire but her little smile and voice and hug make me feel like I do. Her mother gave me the same feeling. That warmth in my soul….not wishing to lose it, I gently lift her up as Tessi gestures to a chair. There are happy smiles, tears and bittersweet expressions as I gaze around the room. My family stands watching. My mother quietly crying. Father with a small smile. I’m not ready to talk to them yet. Yesterday after I executed Renwick, we were left alone together. For once, my father said nothing. Only gripped my shoulder as we stood in silence. Mother had whispered they wanted to talk when I was ready. The absence of my brother is…painful. I cannot fault him though. I did try to poison him.
