"No but I want them to feel as alone as I did when I lost my pup. Feel the same excruciating pain I felt when he cheated on me night after night." She says in a strong voice. Lewis takes a second glance at her then. Longing in his eyes. And not from his wolf, him this time. He sees her as the strong Luna she would have been.
"Too late." I tell him mockingly.
Cavir moves to block his view of her and he snarls at him. "Back away from my mate." Lewis growls.
Cavir laughs, mocking him. "She isn't yours. You rejected her. You want her though now. Realized you might have let something wonderful go. Your gift from the Goddess. Regret is bitter. Even more so when you find out there is nothing you can do to change that."
