Evelyn I’m so relieved when one of the ministers proposes my expulsion. I work hard to hide my excitement that I’ll finally be able to leave the palace and return to my family. So it comes as quite a shock when the punishment the king lands on instead is having me clean the grand ballroom. In fact, I can tell everyone is shocked, though maybe for reasons beyond what I know. I am still surprised though when Sophia is bold enough to say, “Might I suggest, Your Majesty, that such a punishment is too mild given the crime?” Minister Coltain, who I remember is her father, shoots her a glare clearly warning her to stand down. For the first time though, Sophia and I seem to agree. It’s the first time the possibility of my expulsion has so much as come up, so I follow Sophia’s bold lead
