Tazanna swallowed hard but raised her chin and looked Xander square in the eyes. “You heard exactly what I said.”
“Mmh,” Dustin nodded, “we heard you. And we remember telling you exactly what would happen to you if you ever call us that again.”
“I am not scared of you!” Tazanna exclaimed. She was not going to back down. They were just cementing all that she knew before. All men only wanted what they wanted, to hell with what the women wanted. She put up her walls, keeping the memories of betrayal away for the moment. She did not want to get disturbed by them.
“And we don’t want you to be scared of us,” Xander replied. Though he seemed to be standing still, he was moving, crowding Tazanna’s space before she even knew what was happening. “But what we do want is for you to listen to us.”
