Tazanna watched as Kyle took Amber’s arm and pulled her to his side. She watched Maqual approach them as well, his face a storm cloud. He seemed ready to strike.
“So you know Amber, Mr. Sanz?” Tazanna asked as she looked at the older man.
“We were recently introduced,” Maqual replied with the truth. He moved and stood between Kyle and Tazanna. The move was so subtle that Tazanna did not even question it.
Tazanna nodded. She turned to Amber. “What do you mean they aren’t who I think they are?”
Amber blinked up at her mate before she shook his arm off her. She took a step closer, Maqual moving slightly as well to shadow her. “Taz-”
“We should be going, Amber,” Kyle jumped in and took Amber’s arm once again. “Let Taz rest, think about it before you talk to her.”
