“Brother…”
Stephanie’s voice carried a hint of mischief as she turned to look at Kairos. Instinctively, I followed her gaze. Kairos’ brows furrowed, his entire posture shifting as if bracing himself for whatever his sister was about to say.
“Can I borrow my sister-in-law for a while?” Stephanie’s words took me by surprise, and I snapped my attention back to her.
Kairos stiffened beside me, his grip on my waist tightening. Without a word, he pulled me even closer until my side pressed firmly against him. I caught the way Stephanie’s eyes flickered with amusement, a playful smirk tugging at her lips as she watched his reaction.
