(Riley's POV) "Kyla, have you seen Luca?" I ask as I walk up to her locker. She shakes her head no and shuts her locker. "No. Why? Is he not here today?" she asks. I run my hand through my hair and shake my head. "No idea. I'm scared, though. Did he seem upset yesterday?" "He was a little down from what I could tell, but nothing serious. Is everything okay?" I shrug and say, "No. Yesterday I left without hugging him and when I tried texting or calling him today he didn't answer. I don't know if he's mad at me because of it, or is just busy." "I'm sure he'll show up and then you can talk to him. Don't get worked up over it just yet. It hasn't been that long," she says and I sigh. "You're right.
